Mandy Dingle devastated as she learns heartbreaking truth about Paddy Kirk in Emmerdale
Could Mandy and Paddy's relationship be doomed?
ANOTHER hurdle stands between Mandy Dingle and Paddy Kirk after he secretly shared a kiss with his ex-wife Chas Dingle.
Next week in Emmerdale, the beautician makes a shock discovery that could leave her romance in shambles.
The couple decided to give their relationship another chance last year as Paddy Kirk (played by Dominic Brunt) struggled to cope with his intense depression.
This, as viewers of the Yorkshire-based program may remember, was mostly a result of his separation from Chas Dingle, who’d had an affair with the late Al Chapman, causing their breakup.
But in recent weeks, as the Woolpack manager was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, Paddy has been harbouring complicated feelings for his ex-wife.
Conflicted, Paddy let his emotions get the best of him while Mandy’s back was turned and kissed Chas.
Following the kiss, the former couple agreed this hadn’t been the right course of action and Paddy opts for being honest with his other half.
What’s in store for them as Mandy’s reaction to the kiss is due to be discovered next week?
Coming up on ITV, the family reunites when Paddy brings his daughter Eve round to see Chas (Lucy Pargeter).
It’s awkward when Mandy then shows up as Chas and Paddy’s kiss hangs in the air like an elephant in the room.
Chas braces herself when Mandy confronts her about the kiss with Paddy.
After a tense exchange, Chas is stunned to hear that Mandy’s keen to draw a line under the situation.
Later on in the week, at Marlon’s not-so-surprise 50th birthday party, Mandy is furious when Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) lets slip that Chas broke off the kiss, not Paddy.
How will Mandy react as she struggles to digest this new piece of information?
Prior to this new obstacle, Mandy and Paddy were left at loggerheads following the vets’ ball, where the beautician was humiliated and her beau failed to stand up for her.
Instead, Paddy yelled at Mandy in public just as newcomer Ella Forster (former Corrie star Paula Lane) sacrificed her job to defend her.
Could Mandy decide it’s time for her to find someone more suited to her?
Is there hope for Paddy and Chas?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
