Emotions are running high in Emmerdale soon as this new video shows the moment Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) forget they’re not actually together anymore and share a kiss.
Oh dear.
It’s taken months and months, and many emotional battles, to get Paddy and Mandy (Lisa Riley) to the good place that they’re in now, but Paddy throws it all away in one impulsive moment.
In the pub back room, Paddy talks to Chas about her breast cancer and the amount of recovery time she needs after her operation.
He then opens up about his fears surrounding the prospect of losing Chas to her illness. She holds Paddy’s hand and listens, but snaps back into reality when Paddy’s hands move away from hers and he carries on talking.
Paddy chats away but then feels like he’s ‘put his foot in it’. Chas comforts him, and her grateful and supportive ex tells her how strong she is.
Caught up in the emotional moment, Chas and Paddy then lean in and kiss.
It’s a kiss that barely lasts a second and afterwards, the look on Paddy’s face suggests he knows he’s made a very big mistake.
Paddy later confesses his indiscretion to Mandy, driving a stake into her heart. That’s two for two. But in a worrying twist, she shows little to no reaction, leaving Paddy concerned.
