EastEnders spoilers: Desperate Johnny Carter orders Stacey Slater to silence Denise Fox over murđť••er secret

Johnny pressures Stacey into visiting Denise

The Six were left horrified in EastEnders when they learnt that Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) was in on their murder secret, though he has sworn that he will do whatever it takes to keep it hidden and his mum Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) out of prison.

Linda stabbed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to death on Christmas Day and the rest of The Six agreed to help her cover it up – though this decision has taken a toll on all of them in the weeks since, and no one more so than Denise Fox (Diane Parish).

The pressure of the situation left Denise suffering from psychosis, and recent scenes saw Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) step in to get her the help she needed, against advice from Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), who warned that it would put all six of them in danger.

Stacey’s call resulted in Denise being sectioned, and she has since refused to have visitors during her hospital stay.

However, as Mother’s Day approaches, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) promises Amy and Ricky Mitchell (Ellie Dadd and Frankie Day) that he will try his best to let them see their step-mum.

Knowing that Denise could spill their secret at any moment, Johnny warns Stacey that she must get to Denise before her family to stop her letting the secret out.

With Johnny piling on the pressure, Stacey requests a visit with Denise, who surprisingly agrees.

She gives Stacey the good news that she is no longer hallucinating Keanu, but reveals that she intends to stay in hospital.

Stacey isn’t happy with that arrangement, and insists that she needs her family around her, but the pair are soon interrupted by the arrival of Jack, who demands to know why Stacey is there.

She thinks on her feet and is able to come up with a believable cover story, though Jack is left hurt when Denise turns him away, before she later confides in her doctor that she feels safe in the hospital and wants to stay.

Suspicious about Denise and Stacey’s sudden closeness, rattled Jack begins digging, but what will he uncover?

Has Stacey’s interference done more harm than good for The Six?
