Each character will have a special playlist.

EastEnders has expanded the storyline of The Six with a spin-off on BBC Sounds.

The arc has been teased throughout the year, with a flashforward sequence and trailers teasing the death of a mystery man.

All we know for certain is that six women – Stacey Slater, Sharon Watts, Kathy Cotton, Denise Fox, Suki Panesar and Linda Carter – will witness or be involved in the death, but the BBC has announced the storyline will be expanded.

In collaboration with BBC Sounds, each character will have their own exclusive playlist of songs, with the choices pertaining to their current storylines as they are “narrated in character and contextualised in real-time”.

The descriptions for each character are as follows:

Sharon Watts – Sharon shares her wedding music requests

“With Sharon Watts set to say ‘I do’ to Keanu Taylor this Christmas, take an exclusive step inside No.43 as Sharon tells her wedding DJ which tracks she’d like to play at their reception set to be held in The Vic…”

Linda Carter – It’s karaoke night at the Queen Vic and you’re invited

“With a history of Karaoke nights under her belt during her ten years as landlady of The Queen Vic, Linda shares some of her all-time favourite show tunes that have become the soundtrack to her life.”

Suki Panesar – A musical love letter to Eve

“Unaware of her husband and step-son’s involvement in Eve’s disappearance, Suki compiles a private playlist for her missing lover with songs that remind her of her childhood, family, and the start of their relationship…”

Denise Fox – Fresh tunes and fresh cuts at Fox and Hair

“Time for a trim? Get gowned up and seated at Fox & Hair as Denise divulges her favourite songs and the memories behind the lyrics.”

Stacey Slater – Stacey serves up baps and bangers

“Stop by Stacey’s bap van on Bridge Street, as the owner serves up her favourite tunes with a side-serving of gossip.”

Kathy Beale – Kathy’s kitchen playlist

“As Kathy reels from her discovery that husband turned arsonist Rocky Cotton burnt down her beloved caff and left grandsons Peter and Bobby fighting for their lives, Kathy attempts to mend her broken heart with a new kitchen playlist of classics, but not all songs share the happy memory they once held…”
