EastEnders spoilers: Cindy urges George to expose secret to his family
Cindy wants George to come clean
Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is to encourage George Knight (Colin Salmon) to come clean about his heritage in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
George has had a turbulent two months after learning that he was adopted as part of a baby farming agreement in the late 1960s.
After researching the historical practice, he learnt that the majority of babies came from West Africa, leaving him to doubt his presumed Jamaican descent.
When his dad Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) approached him asking for a character reference after being charged with a racially motivated murder that took place forty years ago, George discovered that the man, Henry Asare, was not only his father, but was Ghanian.
Cindy wants George to come clean
A tense altercation broke out between the men in the Queen Vic after-hours, with George’s daughters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford) hearing every word – except for their dad’s home country.
In upcoming scenes, Gina will attempt to lift his spirits ahead of Eddie’s trial and will book a family holiday to Jamaica so that he can become better acquainted with his supposed nationality.
When George is against the getaway, Gina is left bewildered having spent five grand on flights using her credit card.
Realising that her daughter has spent a wad of cash on the ancestry trip, Cindy approaches her ex-husband in desperation for him to come clean before its too late.
Will George be able to open up to his daughter before they jet off, or will the trip lead to more tensions within the family?
