Kat Slater puts her life on the line as she plots revenge against Nish Panesar in EastEnders
Nish brutally šttacks Kat but could it end in bloodshed?
AFTER ending her marriage with Phil Mitchell, Kat Slater jumped into bed with Nish Panesar, unaware of his malicious intentions.
Next week inĀ EastEnders, the new romance goes south as she figures out he’s been playing her – and plots her revenge.
Kat Slater (portrayed byĀ Jessie Wallace) and Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) fell into each other’s arms after theĀ breakdown of both of their marriages.
But after realising they didn’t have much in common, Kat tried to break it off before eventually backtracking and giving Nish another chance.
However, the owner of Kat’s Cabs us blissfully unaware that there is more to Nish’s attraction to her.
In recent scenes of theĀ BBC OneĀ soap, the villainous character made it clear that his intentions were purely financial as getting close to Kat Slater could allow him to take over her ex-husband’s business empire.
Unfortunately for him, Kat is no novice at life in Albert Square and, once she figures out that Nish isn’t as honest as he’d made himself out to be, tensions escalate into an explosive fight.
Coming up, Kat starts to worry about Raymond due to his mother Denise Fox’sĀ mental health predicament.
However, her soon-to-be ex-husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) quickly shuts down her concerns and tells Kat that his solicitor has started their divorce proceedings.
Later on, Kat overhears that Phil is buying the Arches from his son Ben and she starts to suspect that he isnāt being honest in the divorce as the business wasnāt listed on his solicitors letter.
Nish seizes the opportunity to get his hands on some of the Mitchell fortune and introduces Kat to dodgy divorce lawyer Roger Peel.
In other scenes, however, a rift is drawn between Nish and Kat as she arrives at No 41 to see him, but it soon becomes clear that he is aware she could be up to no good.
After fending off an attack from Nish, Kat runs to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Nish’s ex-wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
The group of women all share words and Kat and Stacey humiliate Nish.
Unfortunately for them, Nish retaliates by giving DC Whisson a call regarding the events of Christmas and his attack.
At the Albert, the women then meet with Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) to discuss the developments but things take a sour turn when Stacey evicts Suki after an argument erupts between the pair.
In later scenes, Suki tells a devastated Eve sheās leaving whilst Nish watches on.
In The Vic, Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) gives his mother Suki food for thought and she heads to No 41 to ask for a truce with Nish.
Itās not long before Nish turns violent as the wider Panesar family arrive home in Sukiās time of need.
What will they do when they discover Nish’s violent behaviour?
Will Nish ever pay the price for his villainous actions?
Can Kat and Phil get their relationship back on track?
Viewers of the London-based program were horrified by Kat and Nish’s budding romance but, according to them, she doesn’t belong with Phil.
Many have been hoping for a reunion betweenĀ Kat and her former husband Alfie MoonĀ while Phil may be reunited with his ex-wife Sharon Watts, particularly after finding out he’s theĀ father of her son Albie.
“THE KALFIE REUNION! If you want it as a slow burner I get it okay but youāre dragging it on now. Just get them back together and can we see Kat support Alfie with his cancer treatment more please? Thank you”, one fan most notably penned on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Another one agreed: “Kat, the twins and tommy at the flat with Alfie just feels right to me.”
In early 2023, a handful of passionate fans have evenĀ started an online petitionĀ to get Kat and Alfie back together once and for all.
But what’s really in store?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
