ITV Emmerdale tragic double exit ‘sealed’ in ‘violent murđť••er twist’ as đť•śiller strikes again
Emmerdale fans could be waving goodbye to another two characters very soon
Emmerdale fans could be waving goodbye to another two characters very soon on the ITV soap, amid news of a departure looming.
A devastating ‘murder’ twist aired on Thursday night, resulting in one character being arrested and another fighting for their life. Two families were torn apart, as a villager was gravely injured by another with his fate not revealed.
While he was said to initially be stable, he needed emergency surgery due to his injuries with a loved one revealing he was now fighting for his life. Mackenzie Boyd was the victim in question, and now his family can only hope he survives the brutal and violent attack at the hands of his wife Charity Dingle.
Charity did not mean to hurt Mack, and was traumatised over her actions just months on from accidentally killing another man. Charity has been struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following her shooting and killing villain Damon Harris in December during a scuffle, after he tried to kill Mack.
The gun went off and Damon, known as Harry, was fatally wounded. Since then she has struggled to cope with the events and knowing she took a man’s life, leaving her with flashbacks and nightmares, and loud noises trigger her panic. More recently she has been lashing out at loved ones due to lack of sleep, and this week she decided to seek help with a doctor.
Charity was unable to get an appointment though and ended up returning home, where she continued to suffer in silence. Fearing for her safety, she had a knife with her as she slept on the sofa – only for her to experience the nightmares again.
As Mack when to check on his wife after he heard her shouting out, a barely conscious Charity launched herself up and stabbed Mack who she believed to be Harry. Still in her nightmare, Charity attacked the villain only to come round and realise it was Mack she had stabbed.
As Mack bled out on the floor, his devastated sister Moira Dingle rushed to his aid and called for an ambulance, with Charity arrested. Moira made a damning claim about her sister-in-law to the police, before racing to the hospital to find out if her brother was alive.
She fell into the arms of her husband Cain Dingle, Charity’s ex and pal, revealing Mack was fighting for his life and might not make it. Both Moira and Cain were aware something wasn’t right with Charity weeks ago, but only Moira knew she was struggling over Harry’s death and needed help.
Moira blamed herself for Mack’s fight for life, as she learned he was stable but needed emergency surgery on his bowel. As he was led away, Moira broke down in tears as she feared she’d never see him again and that he would die.
Charity was shown in a police cell, unable to comprehend what had happened before she once again became panicked. With Mack’s life on the line, could he be killed off in a tragic death twist, no doubt tearing the Dingles and Mack’s family apart?
If he does die, Charity could be facing a charge for killing her husband whether it be accidental or not. So might this mean a double exit is on the horizon for both characters?
