Emmerdale spoilers: Dawn Taylor forgets major milestone as she takes centre stage in new story

It was a big day for the couple – but Dawn forgot all about it

Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has had a lot on her plate ever since the birth of baby Evan in Emmerdale.

As well as looking after a new-born, Dawn and Billy (Jay Kontzle) are also parents to children Lucas (Noah Ryan Aspinall) and Clemmie (Mabel Addison).

They both try their best to keep on top of their lives but in Wednesday’s (February 14) episode of the ITV soap, Dawn was given another reminder she can’t quite manage everything right now.

On the morning of Valentine’s Day, Dawn was touched when she saw Billy had created a romantic breakfast for them both.

As Dawn sat down and listened to Billy talk about their meal in Hotten that evening, Lydia (Karen Blick) picked up on Dawn’s facial expression.

When Billy was gone, Lydia asked Dawn if she had remembered Valentine’s Day.

Dawn said that aside from the fact she barely knows what day it is right now, she had also completely forgotten this year’s Valentine’s marks two years since she married Billy.

You know, that very memorable occasion that also happened to be when Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) returned and tried to kill them both.

As Billy headed off for the day, Dawn became determined to put a plan together to impress him.

That evening, when Billy returned, he found the Home Farm lounge decorated with candles.

As he entered, he found Dawn dressed up with makeup on – and fast asleep on the sofa.

When she woke up, Dawn suddenly remembered they were meant to be going out, but kind-hearted Billy said that didn’t matter.

This week in Emmerdale, Dawn found a friend in newcomer Ella (Paula Lane) and opened up about her problems with feeding Evan, and making sure she gives enough attention to her other two children.

It’s clear she is feeling the exhaustion, but is this a sign of a new storyline for Dawn?

If she struggles to receive full support from her loved ones, where will things lead?
