Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle terrorised by husband Tom King on their wedding night – as mum Lisa returns from the 𝕕ead

BELLE has no idea what she's let herself in for by marrying cruel Tom

EMMERDALE’S Belle Dingle has been terrorised by her new husband Tom King in disturbing scenes – while her mother Lisa Dingle made a shock return.

The event planner – who is played by actress Eden Taylor-Draper in the ITV soap – married Tom in tonight’s episode but the wedding took a dark twist as Tom dragged her to consummate their marriage on the sofa.

But after the couple slept together, Belle reached over and picked up her letter from Lisa that Sam had given to her having held onto it for the five years since Lisa died.

“I’m going to read mum’s letter,” she said as Tom looked increasingly angry.

“It doesn’t matter if my mascara runs now. She was so lovely, always knew the right thing to say.”

However instead of supporting his wife, Tom lashed out, cruelly mocking Belle.

“Because now’s the right time,” he spat.

“Every time I’ve tried to get close to you today, to enjoy our day, all you’ve done is bang on about that, your family. And yet you can never see it.

“Sam cutting the photos short because he couldn’t stop moaning that he was hungry, Nate starting a punch up and trashing the place.

“You know what, it doesn’t even matter because your family had already turned it into a junkyard with that tatty banner and that filthy boot on our table. And then we have Mandy looking like a slob.

“I thought we might have one day where it was about us, one day where you actually considered putting me first. But no. You just let your family ride roughshod, take over and ruin over the entire thing.

“You know, at least I know where I stand in your priorities moving forward. I’m going to bed and for the first time today you can actually do what I want and you can sleep down here on your own.”

Belle was left shaken and alone and took out her mum’s letter to read it alone.

Viewers were then treated to the return of Jane Cox as Lisa Dingle as she read the letter in a voice over.

The letter read: “My dearest Belle, if you’re reading this, it must be your wedding day. And I wish with all my heart that I could be there with you.

“I wish I could’ve met the man you’ve chosen to marry because he must be quite a fella. I know you, my bright and beautiful girl and I know you’ll have chosen well.

“A kind good man who’ll look after you forever now that I no longer can. I’ll rest easier knowing you’re so happy. All my love, mum.”

Belle broke down as she struggled to come to terms with Tom’s cruelty and her mum’s words.
