EastEnders spoilers: Drunk Linda Carter violently đť•’ttacks Kathy Beale after cruel comments
Linda lashed out at Kathy after some cruel comments
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is clearly struggling in the aftermath of Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder in EastEnders, and what she needs is people in her corner.
Unfortunately, what she got instead in recent scenes was a tongue-lashing from Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who was clearly sick to the back teeth of Linda being a liability.
Things have been tense between The Six ever since their decision to coverup Keanu’s murder, with some holding it together more than others.
While viewers hoped that this would bring the women closer and bond them together for life, the opposite seems to have happened instead, and a number of them are at each others’ throats.
Linda lashed out at Kathy after some cruel comments
Poor Linda has been unable to stay on the wagon since stabbing Keanu, but drinking to offset her guilt has led to loose lips from the landlady on more than one occasion, resulting in two very close calls.
After slipping up and almost revealing all to Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) last week, Linda almost cracked when Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) began to interrogate her over Keanu’s sudden disappearance.
Thankfully, Kathy stepped in just in the nick of time, or things could have gone very badly.
With Linda clearly struggling, Kathy went to pay her a visit, but she hadn’t come armed with words of support. Instead, Kathy warned Linda to pull herself together before she ended up dropping everyone in it, and ruining not just their lives, but also the lives of their kids.
When Linda insisted that she wasn’t going to lose her children, Kathy retorted that they had already been driven away by her drinking, causing Linda to storm out and take their argument into the bar of the Queen Vic.
Of course, this caught the attention of Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway (Max Bowden and Tony Clay), who were just trying to enjoy a quiet drink, but soon Kathy had successfully waved them off and dragged Linda to a quieter corner, where she proceeded to demand that she sober up.
Linda, however, wasn’t having any of it, and began lamenting how Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was to blame for the mess they were in.
Kathy, now at the end of her tether, retorted that Sharon hadn’t been the one to stab him, and earnt a sharp slap across the face from horrified Linda.
Things only got worse when Linda realised that daughter Annie had witnessed her vicious assault, and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) took Kathy’s side, as they both tried to persuade her to stop drinking.
Though Linda insisted that she had her problem under control and was going to quit, it soon became clear just how far from that goal she really was, as she stumbled out of the Albert and collapsed on the floor.
Thankfully, she was found by none other than son Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), but what will he make of his mother’s condition?
