EastEnders’ Linda Carter may need to watch out, as she faces being exposed for killing Keanu Taylor.
The character recently hit the bottle again as she struggled to cope with murdering Keanu by accident, after he attacked her pal Sharon Watts. Viewers will be familiar with the big Christmas twist, that saw Nish Panesar attacked by Denise Fox with him almost killed.
While Nish survived Keanu was later killed off, as Linda stabbed and killed him after he began to strangle Sharon during a showdown. Now The Six – Linda, Sharon, Denise, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater and Kathy Beale – are hiding the fact that they covered up Keanu’s death, telling the police he attacked Nish and went on the run.
With Keanu buried under the floor of the café, The Six are barely holding it together as they try to move on. Denise is struggling with her mental health, experiencing hallucinations and nightmares involving Keanu.
Sharon has fled the country unable to cope with her partner’s demise and her involvement in the crime. Linda is also struggling, with the alcoholic drinking heavily and leaving everyone concerned.
In the latest episode she was forced to confront the fact she very nearly gave everything away to Alfie Moon, as she drunkenly confessed to hurting a man at Christmas. Linda continued to hit the booze and told Alfie she wanted to drink and drink and never wake up after what she did.
He was left worried when she claimed she could not forgive herself for what she did to a man at Christmas, so he went to pal Stacey for help. Of course a panicked Stacey knew exactly what she meant and feared a confession was on the cards.
On Thursday, Linda managed to convince Alfie she was talking about her ex Mick Carter who is presumed dead, after seemingly drowning on Christmas Day in 2022. Alfie believed the story, but Stacey was furious and threatened Linda by telling her to fix her mistake.
She warned her that if she didn’t she’d end up telling the rest of the girls, leaving Linda fearing they would blame her and see her sent down for the crime. Stacey warned that she wasn’t going to protect her if she did not get her act together, so could Stacey end up spilling the beans?
If she does, will The Six turn on Linda like they have done with Denise, and might Linda be solely blamed for what happened? Or might Linda’s admission to Alfie lead to her making another dark confession to someone else further down the line, leading to her sealing her own fate?
