Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), as fans know, has been struggling to cope since Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) left the village with his son Reuben, but things take a devastating turn this week when she gets in touch to tell him that he’ll never see his son again.
Ouch.
This revelation leaves Mack in the worst of form and, next week, he storms out after an argument with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), insisting that he won’t be back for a while.
A devastating turn then ensues.
Mack is later seen unresponsive and tied to a chair in an abandoned factory. The question is: who has kidnapped him? And why?
Elsewhere in the village, Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) behaviour continues to frustrate Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), who orders him to show some respect to his mother.
Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is grateful to have found a friend in Charles while Aaron makes it his mission to humiliate a smitten Ethan (Emile John), leaving Chas with some harsh words for her son which leave him blindsided.
And a huge secret is revealed, with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) horrified to find out that Kim Tate (Claire King) had a role to play in Craig’s death, feeling utterly betrayed that she didn’t confide in him.
Kim urges him to keep shtum, leaving Will with a decision to make.
